Ensuring Port Connectivity: A Tycon Systems® Case Study
The Challenge
The Challenge
Maintaining reliable network connectivity in large-scale port terminals is critical for daily operations, security, and logistics. At the ADPC container port terminal, uninterrupted WiFi coverage was essential to support access points and customer premises equipment (CPEs) across the facility.
This is a Heading
To address this need, the project integrated Tycon Systems® UPSPro® backup power solutions across the port’s network. A total of eight UPS systems were deployed strategically to support access points and CPE devices throughout the terminal.
These UPSPro® units were designed to deliver dependable backup power during outages, ensuring that essential communication equipment remained operational. Each unit provided a minimum of three hours of backup runtime, allowing the network to continue functioning seamlessly even when primary power sources were unavailable.
By incorporating these compact and efficient power solutions, the system ensured that connectivity could be maintained without interruption, supporting the demanding requirements of a busy port environment.
The Result
The Result
With Tycon Systems® UPSPro® solutions in place, the ADPC container port terminal achieved consistent and reliable WiFi coverage, even during power disruptions.
The deployment enabled continuous operation of access points and network devices, preventing downtime and maintaining communication across the facility. This reliability plays a crucial role in supporting port operations, improving efficiency, and ensuring that critical systems remain online when they are needed most.
